After roasting for the bigger companies we found everything sort of the same after a while.
the blends, the focus on wholesale cafe supply, the marketing consultants, not being able to buy stupidly expensive coffees because of “commercial realities”
we needed a change and in June 2018 we started this little passion project with the intention of shaking things up a bit.
Pretty soon it was a full time gig as cafes started to regularly use us as guest roasts and more and more people started brewing us at home.
nowadays our focus is to stay small and just buy single varietal coffee’s that we would drink at home ourselves
roasters are major coffee snobs so that’s not an easy task.
this means we don’t just buy things that we think will sell well but it’s worth it.
